Painting daily for 10 years and its effects.
In 2025 life tested me hard
thus rewarded my discipline.

There is always the opportunity to give up, 2025 was the best and craziest year, i had fake clients, was exposed to drone attacks while writing a book, financially it was a disaster but i did not surrender. So life gave me a reward, an exhibition of 3 paintings in the carrousel de louvre, the most famous museum on planet earth. All these years during corona and all the uncertainties gave me certainty about my path as an artist of our time.

Painting daily for 10 years and its effects.
So far, so good.
It is the sum of little decisions and actions over a long period of time that create change. In 2016 i got asked to exhibit in Maastricht and i will never forget how i carried 3 large paintings on a bike, it was a very windy day & i felt like a sailor. Then in 2017 while painting on factory leftovers to save our planet and my budget, I took some paintings and just went to the biggest contemporary art fair in Europe and got a spot to exhibit for free. Since that day amazing people with wonderful commission ideas stepped into my life, but also inspiring artists and i feel peace within. In 2018 i opened my gallery and art studio with weekly courses, exhibitions & concerts. During Corona i felt very stupid about that, before i had great jobs at global players, now i was renovating an old barn with no money but a dream. A place where you enjoy art and can start any moment with your painting, sculpture, song, book you name it. Now in 2026 the gallery is in use every day by artists, musicians and anyone who is curious about it. Painting murals is the most intimate art as you get to know the family, company quite well over time and you become some sort of attraction point. Rarely someone sees the artist at work and is flattered by how strong the atmosphere of a place changes, with each brushstroke, with each added colour and motif. You become the eyewitness of something you cannot exhibit in a museum, moments of change.

The Innbetween
One day i was walking through the rainy park of Maastricht, my grandfather just passed away and thinks were bad. Then i saw a peacock and we looked at each other, he opened his feathered wheel and for a moment my tears stopped. When i returned to our student house i took cardboard from the trash and painted a giant peafowl. Some weeks later i biked to my first exhibition with the giant peacock. Since that day i have painted daily and it helped me to tackle all the sadness in the world with the beauty of colours.
